Job Description
The Fairmont Mara Safari Club is a luxury tented Lodge with a lush and secured private garden in the middle of the bush that connects modern comfort to an incredible adventure in the world famous Mara Savannah. The luxuriously furnished tents overlook the hippo and crocodile filled Mara River. Located in an intimate but wide conservancy, Fairmont Mara Safari Club gives guests the possibility to closely observe the big-5 and experience all types of safaris.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist the Unit Accountant in the preparation of all reporting and analysis requirements (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc)
- Ensure information in all reports is accurate and reflects actual business transactions
- Assist in conducting surprise spot-checks on General Cashier's float and all Outlet Cashier's float
- Assist in conducting surprise stock-count inspections
- Administer all tax filing and government reporting procedures to ensure accurate, timely compliance
- Maintain General Ledger with journal entries and month-end reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts
- Prepare Bank reconciliation of online statements (daily & monthly)
- Preparation of monthly assigned Journals and allocation of shared expenses among departments
- Assist in compilation of departmental budget and forecast
- Maintain the Fixed asset register
