Fueling Operations:
Aircraft Refueling: Connect and disconnect fuel hoses, operate fueling equipment, and ensure proper fueling procedures for aircraft.
Ground Vehicles and Equipment: Refuel trucks, buses, construction machinery, or other vehicles and equipment.
Marine Fueling: Refuel ships and boats, ensuring adherence to marine fueling regulations.
Safety and Compliance:
Safety Procedures: Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents, spills, and hazards. This includes proper handling of fuel, use of protective equipment, and adherence to fire safety guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all fueling operations comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
Quality Control:
Fuel Quality: Test fuel for contaminants and ensure it meets quality standards before fueling.
Inspection and Maintenance: Regularly inspect fueling equipment for leaks, wear, and damage. Perform routine maintenance and report any issues for repair.
Record Keeping:
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of fueling operations, including quantities dispensed, fuel types, and any discrepancies.
Reporting: Report fuel usage and inventory levels to supervisors or relevant departments.
Customer Service:
Coordination: Work with pilots, drivers, and crew members to coordinate fueling operations efficiently.
Assistance: Provide assistance and information to customers regarding fueling services.

Aviation Fueling Certifications: For aviation fuel handlers, certifications from recognized aviation authorities (such as the Federal Aviation Administration in the U.S.) may be required.
Safety Training: Completion of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or equivalent safety training programs.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge of Fueling Procedures: Understanding proper fueling techniques, including handling different types of fuels.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow them to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Attention to Detail: Precision in following procedures to avoid spills, contamination, and other issues.
Physical Stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in various weather conditions.
Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical skills to operate and maintain fueling equipment.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Experience:
Relevant Work Experience: Prior experience in a related field, such as logistics, transportation, or hazardous materials handling, is often preferred.
Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in specific industries, such as aviation or marine fueling, can be advantageous.
