Job Description
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and stack goods safely and efficiently within the warehouse and storage facilities. The role is critical in ensuring smooth logistics operations and proper handling of grain products.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack goods within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper handling of products to avoid damage or loss.
- Inspect forklifts daily and report any mechanical faults or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Support stock-taking and inventory control processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of goods in designated areas.
- Work closely with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Follow company policies and comply with health and safety regulations.
