Job Description
The Forklift Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials within the warehouse and assembly line. This includes loading, unloading, and transporting goods using forklifts and related equipment. The role also supports inventory management, warehouse organization, and compliance with safety procedures. Additionally, the Forklift Driver is expected to communicate effectively with team members and maintain proper documentation of operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other warehouse handling equipment efficiently and safely.
Support assembly line operations by ensuring timely delivery of required materials.
Maintain accurate inventory levels and support proper material storage and retrieval.
Conduct equipment checks and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
Adhere to health and safety standards, including emergency procedures.
Complete and maintain necessary documentation related to inventory movement.
Assist in other warehouse or logistical duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Certification:
Minimum of Secondary School Education (CSE).
Valid Forklift Operator License from a recognized training institution or OSHA-certified trainer.
Experience:
1–3 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments, preferably in the automotive or industrial sector.
Skills & Competencies:
Skilled in operating forklifts and understanding safe loading/unloading practices.
Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination.
Familiarity with warehouse organization and material flow.
Basic English and fluent Swahili communication preferred.
Strong awareness of workplace safety protocols.
