Job Description
As a Financial Analyst at GovCIO, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial reports, managing program budgets, providing variance and trend analysis, and ensuring cost control compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in government contracting, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and be adept at using Excel for advanced financial modeling. Responsibilities include managing monthly financial close processes, supporting subcontractor spending and approvals, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.

How to Apply
Deliver monthly financial reporting, trend and variance analysis for executive management
Manage multiple programs’ financial performance, forecasts, and annual budgets
Provide insights on program drivers, risks, and opportunities
Assist in month-end close including accruals, revenue recognition, and expense tracking
Monitor subcontractor costs and support voucher approval processes
Collaborate with accounting, procurement, contracts, and other departments to support program operations
Perform other finance-related duties as assigned
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of finance experience
Government contracting experience with knowledge of CAS, FAR, and GAAP
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, modeling, complex formulas)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in diverse teams
Experience with FFP, T&M, and Cost-Type contracts
Preferred:
Experience with Deltek Costpoint
Familiarity with TM1 and Cognos Reporting tools
Experience managing OCONUS programs
Active DoD clearance is a plus
