This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to join Adara Development (Uganda) as the Finance Manager Based at Kiwoko Hospital, you will oversee the daily financial operations, ensuring effective reporting, compliance, audits, and financial control. You will lead a small team, manage budgets, and maintain robust intemal controls working closely with both local and global teams. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing financial procedures, safeguarding assets, and supporting the organisation's mission with exceptional financial management and governance. This role is integral to achieving Adara Development's goals in Uganda.

Financial Planning and Analysis:
Develop and oversee financial plans and budgets.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare financial forecasts and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Analyze market trends and economic conditions to inform business strategies.
Budget Management:
Monitor and manage the organization’s budget.
Ensure that expenditures are within approved budgets and make recommendations for budget adjustments.
Collaborate with department heads to create and manage their budgets.
Reporting:
Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
Present financial results and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow.
Ensure that there is enough liquidity to meet the organization's short-term and long-term obligations.
Implement strategies to optimize cash flow.
Risk Management:
Identify and assess financial risks.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Investment Management:
Manage the organization’s investment portfolios.
Analyze and make recommendations on investment opportunities.
Monitor the performance of investments and adjust strategies as necessary.

5+ years post qualification experience Degree in Accounting and CPA Qualified Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audit, tax and compliance obligations
Experience managing a small team, and the ability to delegate appropriately, and to coach and mentor finance staff
Ability to analyses and communicate financial information
Sound knowledge of the requirements set by the Ugandan Revenue Authority and other relevant regulatory bodies of Uganda
Sound knowledge of financial management accounting principles
Strong understanding and ability to demonstrate strong internal controls and procedures
Sound knowledge of accounting software, preferably Microsoft 305 Business Central and
Proficient in excel and other Microsoft office suite Ability to work cross-culturally and across different time zones, sometimes out of regular business hours
