Job Description

As an External Sales Representative, you will play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities while nurturing existing customer relationships. You will provide expert knowledge of electrical products, prepare and present proposals, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction. This role involves regular client visits, territory management, and consistent achievement of sales targets. The position requires both independent initiative and team collaboration to support business growth.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to grow the customer base

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of the company's electrical products and services

  • Prepare, present, and follow up on sales proposals and product presentations

  • Consistently achieve or exceed set sales targets

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction

  • Provide accurate reports on sales activities and market trends

  • Travel extensively within the PTA region for client meetings and prospecting

  • Represent the company professionally at all times

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent

  • A diploma or degree in sales, business, or a related field is preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in external sales, preferably in the electrical or related industry

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong sales acumen with persuasive negotiation abilities

  • Proven ability to work independently and meet targets

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently

  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transport
