Job Summary:
The Environment and Energy Assistant will work closely with colleagues responsible for Environment, Energy and livelihoods. The incumbent will support team Kangal field team on all issues related to environment, energy and self-reliance and will make sure that Environment and energy interventions are in ine with the provisions of the project description

Key Duties and Responsibilities
sensitizing the public on environment conservation policies, laws and regulations.
Supporting community initiatives for the renewal and sustainable exploitation of the natural environment by Tree planting and management and Promotion of energy saving technologies
Support environment conservation related activities
Monitoring and supervising activities relating to the environment within the settements
Enforcing implementation of the community and District environment action plans.
Provide capacity building training to Nursery bed staff
Identifying opportunities and constraints to optimal use of wetland resources; and
Compiling reports on environment degradation activities and practicas
Map, regularly update and maintain a database of approved energy related beneficiary households
In conjunction with the Energy private Partners, ensure that targeted beneficiary households receive adequate user education on the energy interventions before they receive and use them.
In consultation with community leadership structures, develop energy intervention distribution schedules
Ensure that approved intended beneficiaries receive support allocated and conduct exit interviews to get feedback and complaints from the beneficiaries at the distribution points
Do routine household visits to assess and document household usage of biomass and other renewable energy technologies and document any feedback challenges.
Prepare biomass and other renewable energy reports for onward submission to the Environment and Energy Officer.
To perform any other duties assigned by the Environment and Energy Oficer from time to time

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate for the Nsamizi Environment and Energy Assistant job placement must hold at least a Diploma in Science Renewable Energy Environmental Science, Natural Resources, agriculture, forestry or a Diploma in a related field with commensurate work experience
At least two years of experience in related work
Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and strategic planning skills required
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks eficienty
Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to think critically and creativey,
Her She should have a passion for environment conservation and should have good organizational skil
Experience of working with Humanitarian Sector
This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve rests in a demanding and fast paced environment
