We specialise in supporting children and communities in low-resource environments and emergencies: recognising that the complex, compounded challenges that affect them require innovative, integrated interventions. Our interventions are informed by robust, rigorous evidence and results-oriented, optimised to create maximum impact for children at minimum cost. Globally, Street Child operates in 35 countries among which is Uganda in which we are operating in both the refugee and development contexts. Street Child has a strong, sustained commitment to localisation and works in partnership with 80+ local level actors and organisations, underscored by close consultation and collaboration with local communities.

Job Summary: Street Child is seeking detail-oriented individuals to collect data across its different programmes. The Enumerator will be responsible for administering and entering all programme’s related baseline, midterm and end line survey starting from data collection and data entry. Enumerators will work in the field under the guidance and supervision of the Research analyst.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Education, Social Sciences, etc.).

  • Adept at using computers and mobile devices for entering and/or uploading data in an efficient manner.

  • Must have sat university 1-2 years ago and have experience in data collection or research, preferably in the education sector.

  • A resident within the preferred district

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluency in English and local language (Kiryandongo—Luo, Juba Arabic; Palabek—Acholi, Juba Arabic; Kyaka II—Swahili; Kyangwali—Swahili)
