Applications are invited from suitable qualified persons to fill the underlisted vacant post that exist in the service of Mayuge District Local Government. Applications should be submitted in Triplicate on PSC 3(Revised 2008) to the Secretary District Service Commission PO Box 1317 MAYUGE not later than four weeks from the date of this advertisement.
Application forms can be obtained from Public Service Commission Office 2nd floor Farmers' parliamentary Avenue Kampala and/ or any of the District Service Commission Offices and MUST be filled in the applicants own handwriting with three (3) passport size photographs attached. Serving officers should route their applications through their supervisors who should be informed of the closing date to avoid any unnecessary delay.

To conduct antenatal care, delivery and postnatal care services according to the national guidelines and protocols.
To identify and manage or refer complications in pregnancy, labour and puerperium.
To provide family planning services and counselling to the clients.
To conduct health education and promotion on maternal and child health issues.
To maintain proper records and reports of the services provided.
To participate in quality improvement activities and research at the health facility and in the community.
To supervise and mentor the nursing assistants and community health workers.
To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The minimum qualifications for the Enrolled Midwife are:
A certificate in Enrolled Midwifery from a recognized institution.
Registration and licensure with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
At least two years of working experience as an Enrolled Midwife in a busy health facility.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
