Job Description
As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee a team responsible for portfolio management, design management, objectives and key results, and quality and requirements management. You will be tasked with executing comprehensive project plans, attracting and developing top engineering talent, and ensuring high product quality, security, and performance. Collaboration with product and engineering teams will be essential to continuously enhance GitLab’s planning capabilities.
Key focus areas include:
Designing and executing project roadmaps with clear milestones and dependencies
Managing stakeholder expectations and mitigating project risks
Running agile project management processes
Building and maintaining a high-performing team through recruitment, mentorship, and regular feedback
Driving product improvements while balancing technical debt and feature delivery

Excellent communication skills with the ability to achieve consensus across departments
Alignment with GitLab’s company values
Experience in high-performance organizations
