About the Organisation
The Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (CRVWWDA) is one of the nine Water Works Development Agencies established under Section 65 of the Water Act, 2016. Formed through Kenya Gazette Notice No. 4 dated 7th February 2020, CRVWWDA operates across five counties: Nakuru, Narok, Laikipia, Baringo, and Nyandarua. The agency focuses on the development of water and sanitation infrastructure to enhance access to water services in the region.

Job Description
The role involves designing and supervising water works, managing contracts, preparing specifications for equipment, maintaining standards and quality control, monitoring project implementation, and ensuring compliance with environmental and social safeguard guidelines. The job holder will work under a senior officer’s supervision and manage activities related to water development projects from feasibility to execution.

How to Apply
Design, install, and maintain electrical engineering services in water works.
Supervise installation works carried out by contractors.
Prepare requisitions and specifications for new equipment and processes tenders.
Control funds and materials issued to units.
Design projects, prepare project costing, and manage budgeting processes.
Document and manage contracts.
Ensure professional standards and conduct quality control activities.
Prepare tender documents for sale and procurement of plant, vehicles, and equipment.
Draft general layout drawings for new and improved workshops.
Maintain records and reports on testing programs for vehicles and plant.
Implement equipment management systems.
Maintain and update inventory for vehicles, plant, and equipment.
Participate in feasibility studies and detailed design for water development projects.
Prepare project proposals, concept notes, and prioritize projects.
Monitor implementation and delivery of outsourced water planning and design projects.
Ensure compliance with water standards, environmental, and social safeguards.
Participate in water site visits, meetings, and project presentations.
Track construction schedules and associated costs.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
Valid Practicing License from the Engineers Board of Kenya.
Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Cumulative service period of at least three (3) years relevant work experience as an Engineer II or in a comparable position.
