Job Description
As the Engineer, Release Train, you will lead and manage the release train, orchestrating the delivery of complex solutions spanning multiple teams, departments, clients, and geographies. You will coordinate Agile Release Trains (ARTs), oversee value stream alignment, and eliminate delivery bottlenecks. Your role will require deep technical expertise in CI/CD, DevOps, cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and software architecture. The position also involves mentoring junior engineers, collaborating with stakeholders, and continuously optimizing solution delivery strategies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Release Train and coordinate Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
Facilitate large, complex program deliveries across business units and geographies
Design, build, and optimize scalable CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve development bottlenecks
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud-based infrastructure
Use Docker and Kubernetes for container management
Promote and enforce best practices in software development and delivery
Provide technical mentorship and leadership to engineering teams
Monitor system performance and implement necessary improvements
Align solution delivery strategies with business goals
Integrate innovative technologies for continuous delivery improvements
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Certified SAFe® Program Consultant (SPC) or equivalent Agile certification
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in software engineering or solution architecture
5–7 years in platform and operating system management
10+ years in enterprise-level technology solution design and implementation
Experience as a Scrum Master using Kanban
Proven experience in program management and coordination of multiple projects
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proficient in CI/CD tools, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, Kubernetes
Skilled in Python, Java, or JavaScript
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
