  • Supporting Classroom Instruction: Assist teachers in delivering lessons by providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.

  • Student Supervision and Management: Monitor students' behavior and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment. Supervise students during class activities, transitions, and breaks.

  • Providing Specialized Assistance: Work with students who have special needs or learning disabilities, providing accommodations and support as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 Plans.

  • Preparing Instructional Materials: Assist in the preparation of teaching materials, including worksheets, visual aids, and learning resources. Help set up and organize classroom displays and learning centers.

  • Assisting with Assessments: Support teachers in administering assessments, grading assignments, and recording student progress. Provide feedback to students and assist with remedial activities as needed.

  • Promoting Inclusion and Diversity: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and respects the individual needs and abilities of all students.

  • Collaborating with Teachers and Staff: Work closely with classroom teachers, special education teachers, and other school staff to coordinate instructional activities and support student learning goals.

  • Communicating with Parents and Guardians: Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns or issues that may arise.

  • Providing Personal Care Assistance: Assist students with personal care tasks, such as toileting, feeding, and mobility support, as required.
