Job Description

The Drill Team Quality Representative III will support drilling and completion operations by developing, implementing, and managing the Drill Team Quality Plan. This senior-level role requires expertise in QA/QC standards, inspection practices, and oilfield operations. The representative will ensure quality compliance, provide training and mentoring, and oversee data integrity within the quality event database. Working closely with service providers and internal stakeholders, the candidate will ensure that drilling equipment and services meet required quality standards throughout all project phases.

How to Apply

  • Develop and steward the Drill Team Quality Plan throughout planning and execution stages.

  • Oversee quality assurance and control for equipment and services provided by drilling contractors and service providers.

  • Ensure data integrity in the quality event database.

  • Provide mentorship and training to junior quality team members and drilling engineers.

  • Serve as subject matter expert in QA/QC related to drilling operations.

  • Ensure compliance with international standards including API, ISO 9001, ASNT, and NACE.

  • Monitor and assess inspection practices such as T.H. Hill DS-1 for drill string inspections.

  • Support coordination and implementation of rig equipment quality procedures.

  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across teams and vendors.

  • BSc in Engineering or Engineering Technology from a recognized institution.

  • 15–20 years of experience in oilfield-related work, especially in drilling and completions.

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, standards, and practices (e.g., API, ISO 9001, ASNT, NACE).

  • Completion of ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Course is an added advantage.

  • In-depth experience with drilling rig equipment, operations, and inspections.

  • Proficiency in business writing and computer software.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive quality without direct authority.
