Job Description
The Direct Sales Executive (DSE) is an entry-level position for a high-energy, results-driven professional responsible for driving the growth of our loan portfolio and deposit base. You will be the face of the institution, operating at the “front lines” to identify, recruit, and onboard professionals, micro-entrepreneurs and small business owners who need practical financial solutions to grow their ventures.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Business Development & Prospecting
- Conduct daily field-based “foot soldier” mobilization to identify potential borrowers and depositors within assigned markets and business hubs.
- Market the institution’s unique value proposition—focusing on speed, accessibility, and support for business “builders”
- Achieve and exceed monthly targets for loan disbursements and new account openings.
Client Relationship Management
- Guide prospective clients through the application process, ensuring all required documentation (KYC) is accurate and complete.
- Conduct site visits to assess the nature of the client’s business, character, and ability to repay.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic relationship with clients to ensure high retention rates.
Portfolio Quality & Monitoring
- Monitor the repayment behavior of your assigned portfolio and engage in proactive follow-ups to prevent arrears.
- Educate clients on basic financial literacy and responsible borrowing to ensure business sustainability.
- Collaborate with the Credit and Risk teams to ensure that only viable businesses are onboarded.
Reporting & Strategy
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and provide daily/weekly activity reports to the Sales Manager.
- Identify market trends and competitor activities, providing feedback to help refine our product offerings.
