Job Description
The Credit Officer will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, conducting credit assessments, monitoring disbursements and collections, and ensuring accurate loan documentation. The role requires strong communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with clients to foster financial discipline. Candidates must be able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel and must reside within or near Kira, Bulindo, Namugongo, or Kyaliwajala.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Evaluate creditworthiness and loan applications
Monitor loan disbursements and track repayment schedules
Conduct field visits to verify customer information
Follow up with clients on overdue payments
Maintain updated records of all loan-related documentation
Provide financial advice to clients where necessary
Prepare regular loan portfolio reports
Ensure compliance with company lending policies and guidelines

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
At least 1 year of work experience in credit, finance, or related areas

Must reside in or around Kira, Bulindo, Namugongo, or Kyaliwajala
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
High level of integrity and attention to detail
