Job Description
The Credit Officer will review loan requests, collect and verify client financial data, analyze creditworthiness (including risk ratios), and recommend approvals or declines in line with lending policies. The role sets up repayment plans, maintains accurate loan records, monitors active facilities, follows up on renewals and repayments (daily/weekly collection), and provides customer support throughout the loan lifecycle to deliver fast, compliant lending decisions.

Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Benefits: Starting salary ₦100,000; bi-annual profit sharing; HMO; flexible hours (11am–6pm); annual appraisal; performance-based salary review.
Prepare and process loan applications and supporting documents.
Assess clients’ financial status; evaluate creditworthiness and risk.
Contact clients to gather/verify financial data and documentation.
Analyze risks; approve/reject loan requests per policy thresholds.
Structure repayment plans; monitor existing loans and renewals.
Maintain up-to-date loan files and portfolio reports.
Drive daily and weekly repayment collections; escalate delinquencies as needed.
Provide responsive customer service and resolve client inquiries.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: NCE/OND/HND/BSc in Banking & Finance, Economics, or related field.
Experience: 0–3 years as Credit Officer/Loan Officer or similar (hands-on knowledge of lending procedures/products preferred).
Skills: Strong analytical ability; proficiency with financial spreadsheets; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer-service orientation; integrity and attention to detail.
