Credit Life Non-Medical Assessor job at Standard Bank

To ensure the highest level of customer service through quality claims processing ensuring adherence to stipulated turnaround times. Assessment of all non-medical claims to ensure that all claims submitted for payment are valid. Handle daily workflow process in terms of the Company’s laid down process.
Dispute Resolution and Litigation Support
Provide legal support in resolving disputes arising from commercial property finance transactions, including breaches of contract, title issues, or borrower default.
Liaise with external counsel in managing litigation, arbitration, or other dispute resolution processes when necessary.
Client and Stakeholder Communication
Act as the primary legal point of contact for internal stakeholders, including senior management, finance teams, and property development departments, ensuring they understand legal implications of financing decisions.
Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as lenders, borrowers, investors, and law firms.
Regulatory Compliance and Updates
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that impact commercial property finance, including banking regulations, real estate laws, and financial compliance standards.
Ensure that all property financing transactions comply with regulatory requirements, advising on any potential legal risks due to regulatory changes.
Policy Development
Assist in developing internal legal policies and procedures related to commercial property financing.
Ensure that the company’s legal policies align with the latest industry practices and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership and Mentoring
Provide guidance and leadership to junior legal advisors or members of the legal team involved in property finance transactions.
Mentor and develop the skills of legal team members, ensuring effective support for property finance projects.
Accurate, methodical and detailed in all aspects of work
Able to handle pressure, prioritise and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
Ability to develop and build relationships and be a team player
