Job Description
The successful candidate will manage cost accounting processes, including variance analysis, product costing, budgeting, and financial reporting. Responsibilities include analyzing actual vs. standard costs, monitoring inventory records, reconciling variances, and preparing detailed financial reports. The Cost Accountant will also support the finance department in enforcing internal controls, managing cash flow, and providing insights for decision-making. Additionally, the role requires managing payment and billing details for external vendors, ensuring accurate reconciliations, and preparing regular performance reports to guide profitability strategies.

How to Apply
Monitor inventory levels and track cost variances.
Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile records.
Analyze actual manufacturing costs vs. standard costs and prepare variance reports.
Calculate and evaluate production costs for regular reporting.
Review and analyze inventory and margin reports.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
Provide product costing data for pricing and strategic business initiatives.
Conduct profitability and cost analysis studies.
Coordinate with IT and Finance departments to ensure consistent accounting systems.
Manage budgets and cash flows effectively.
Assist in implementing and enforcing internal financial controls.
Ensure timely banking and maintain related records.
Enter accurate opening stock records into the system.
Manage payments, billing, and reconciliations with service providers and vendors.
Ensure purchases align with company profitability targets.
Prepare and share accurate sales and collection reports.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–3 years’ practical experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
CPA (completed) or ACCA Part 2 qualification.
Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
