Job Description
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for developing tactical strategies and delivery plans to align with business objectives. This role will manage end-to-end costing projects, conduct cost analysis, build and maintain cost models, and contribute to improving business profitability through scenario planning and budgeting processes.
The incumbent will foster a strong customer service culture, manage resources effectively, and leverage relationships across business functions. Key responsibilities include budget preparation and variance reporting, cost forecasting, and influencing strategic initiatives through innovative data analysis and financial modeling.

Develop and execute tactical delivery plans in line with strategic objectives

Deliver scenario planning and review budgetary processes to ensure financial accuracy
Drive performance excellence through effective people management and team development
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
BCom in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Experience
4–5 years of experience in accounting and financial intelligence
Strong background in project cost management
Experience within the banking or financial services industry (advantageous)
Skills and Competencies
Proven ability to manage budgets and perform variance analysis
Proficient in cost modeling and scenario planning
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work across cross-functional teams and influence strategic outcomes
Commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity
