Job Description
As a Controller at Second Nature, you will oversee the company’s financial operations, including managing the closing process, ensuring timely financial reporting, working with auditors, and analyzing financial data. You will establish and maintain internal controls, manage cash flow, ensure tax compliance, and provide detailed financial analysis. Additionally, you will supervise and mentor the accounting and payroll staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

How to Apply
Financial Reporting: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls, conduct audits, and implement risk management strategies.
Cash Management: Oversee cash flow management and investment opportunities, and collaborate with FP&A on forecasting models.
Tax Compliance: Coordinate tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis and financial analysis to support decision-making.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounting & payroll staff, providing guidance and fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
Experience:
10+ years in accounting or financial management roles.
8+ years of experience supervising an accounting team.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with Netsuite ERP, Excel/Google Sheets, Tableau, and Power BI.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work East Coast hours (8:30/9 am EST start time).
