Job Description
ASA Microfinance (U) Ltd is seeking for professional, confident, self-motivated, and committed team players to reinforce its capacity by filling the following vacant positions:
Job Summary: The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the Institution operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidelines, and internal policies. The role provides independent oversight, promotes a strong compliance culture, and minimizes regulatory, legal, and reputational risk.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory directives.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and advise Management on compliance obligations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Compliance Management Framework.
- Review and update compliance policies, procedures, and manuals to align with regulatory changes.
- Conduct compliance monitoring and testing across branches and departments.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for Senior Management.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulators and industry associations.
- Coordinate regulatory inspections, submissions, and follow-up on regulatory findings.
- Oversee implementation of AML/CFT programs, including KYC, transaction monitoring, and reporting of suspicious activities.
- Provide compliance advisory support to business units and new product initiatives.
- Conduct compliance training and awareness programs for staff and Management.
- Track compliance breaches, regulatory issues, and management action plans for closure.
- Escalate material compliance issues promptly to Senior Management.
- Promote adherence to the Code of Conduct and ethical standards.
- Support whistleblowing processes and investigations.
