Job Description
The Community Engagement Officer will support MU-JHU’s research agenda by coordinating all community-focused activities across the study cycle. The role involves mapping and engaging relevant community stakeholders, strengthening relationships with service providers, and facilitating community sensitization, mobilization, and study recruitment processes. The officer will lead community-based preparation activities, respond to stakeholder inquiries, and support dissemination of study findings. The position requires a dynamic, flexible individual with strong interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and a deep understanding of community dynamics. The officer will work closely with the community engagement team at MU-JHU sites in Mityana and Mubende districts and ensure compliance with GCP/HSP standards and study-specific guidelines.
