Job Description
The Communications Team Lead will be responsible for leading and coordinating AODI’s communication strategies. This includes crafting internal and external communications, managing a communications team, and implementing strategic plans that elevate AODI’s brand and messaging. This is a volunteer, remote-based position ideal for a professional with strong writing skills, leadership experience, and a heart for nonprofit education work.

Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
Manage day-to-day communications operations.
Oversee internal communications to ensure team alignment.
Lead a team of communications professionals and volunteers.
Coordinate external communications including media outreach and public relations.
Ensure timely and effective delivery of all communication initiatives.
Maintain consistency in messaging across all platforms.
Support brand building through storytelling and strategic marketing content.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Strategic thinking and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and in a remote environment.
Previous experience in nonprofit or educational initiatives is an added advantage.
