Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit a dynamic and competent individuals to fill 2 vacancies for the position of Communication Officer based in Kampala with frequent travels to the Field.
The Communication Officer (s) will lead the implementation of project communication plans with a focus on communication about results and knowledge management. support the implementation of the project communication plans with a focus on results and knowledge management.
Joining Enabel as a Communication Officer, you will be directly reporting to the Country Communication Officer and you will perform the following key tasks;
You continuously communicate about achievements at the different stages of the project cycle (events, result reports, annual reports, lessons learned).
You lead the implementation of communication and knowledge management strategy.
You are the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on communication and visibility. This includes building the capacity of partners on communication.
You lead the designing and production of communication materials.
You conduct quality assurance of communication and visibility products.

Your Profile
A Master’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Strategic Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or any other related fields.
At least 5 years of proven and relevant experience in communications.
At least 3 years’ experience in effectively using print media design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Infogram etc.
Excellent written and spoken English; expressing ideas and opinions clearly in a structured manner that appeals to the reader/listener.
Multi-media knowledge and skills (content management systems for websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) & audio-visual media.
Proven photography and video production skills
Proactive and creative: Able to recognize opportunities and act on them; self-starter, coming up with original solutions for job-related problems, devising new methods of work and solution-oriented.
Strong analytical skills: identifying problems; recognizing significant information; making connections between data; and tracing possible causes of problems.
