ENS is Africa’s largest law firm, with more than 600 practitioners across the continent. We are currently recruiting for Clerkship / Uganda to be based at our Uganda ENS office.

We are firm believers in the merits of on-the-job training. Your theoretical training at university is essential to give you the base of legal knowledge on which to build, but only the practical experience of real problem solving makes an exceptional attorney.
Shadowing physicians: Medical clerks typically shadow physicians and other healthcare professionals during patient consultations, rounds, procedures, and surgeries to gain practical experience and insight into various medical specialties.
Taking patient histories: Clerks may interview patients to obtain their medical history, current symptoms, and other relevant information to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Performing physical exams: Under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals, medical clerks may conduct basic physical examinations, such as measuring vital signs and performing simple diagnostic tests.
Assisting in patient care: Clerks may help with patient care activities, such as administering medications, dressing wounds, assisting with procedures, and providing patient education.
Documentation: Clerks may assist in maintaining patient records by documenting medical histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and other relevant information in electronic health record systems.
Participating in medical rounds: Clerks may participate in medical rounds with healthcare teams to discuss patient cases, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
