Qualifications, Education and Competencies
The clerks at Ngora Local District Government are responsible for performing various administrative and clerical tasks, such as filing documents, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records. They work under the supervision of the district secretary and report to the respective department heads. The clerks are expected to have good communication skills, computer literacy, and knowledge of the local government policies and procedures.
The clerks are also required to adhere to the code of conduct and ethics of the public service.

Maintaining and updating records of the district's activities, finances, personnel, and services.
Preparing and issuing official documents such as minutes, agendas, reports, letters, and notices.
Providing administrative support to the district chairperson, councilors, and committees.
Handling correspondence and inquiries from the public, other government agencies, and stakeholders.
Performing other duties as assigned by the district secretary or the relevant authorities.

A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A filled PSC Form 3 of 2008 in your own handwriting should be submitted in triplicate (each with a recent coloured passport size photograph) plus copies of Academic Documents addressed to;

P.O. Box 31, Ngora
which should be hand delivered or received through Postal or Courier Agent not later than 15 March, 2024. Number specified against each vacancy.
Applicants already in Government Service must attach duly completed Staff Performance Appraisal Report for the last three years or as applicable and should route their applicants through both their respective Heads of Department and the Chief Administrative Officer who should be informed of the closing date to avoid delay.
Applicants are invited from suitable qualified Ugandans to fill the post of Clerk of Works in Ngora District Local Government. The PSC form 3 of 2008 can be obtained from the Public Service Commission Kampala, any of the District Service Commissions or the Offices of the Chief Administrative Officer in Uganda, or www.psc.co.ug.
Applicants who do not hear from Ngora District Service Commission on conclusion of the selection exercise should consider their applications unsuccessful.
