Job Description
The Catchment Management Specialist is tasked with designing and implementing catchment management and restoration plans. This includes aligning strategies with national and district development goals, updating catchment/sub-catchment plans, and promoting best practices in IWRM. The specialist will initiate projects, support stakeholders, conduct data analysis, facilitate the establishment of catchment committees, and oversee technical reporting. Additionally, the role involves spatial analysis, GIS updates, erosion control, and supporting awareness programs for sustainable catchment development.

How to Apply
Develop and implement catchment and sub-catchment management plans
Integrate IWRM strategies into District Development Strategies (DDS)
Design and promote catchment restoration projects and proposals
Review and evaluate stakeholder studies related to catchment rehabilitation
Collect, record, and analyze spatial data and GIS tools for restoration activities
Identify degraded areas and propose sustainable restoration solutions
Facilitate the formation and functioning of catchment committees
Support committee planning and technical capacity building
Implement awareness campaigns and education programs on catchment management
Prepare and submit regular reports on restoration and erosion status
Coordinate and follow up on water-related catchment interventions
Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

Educational Requirements:Master’s Degree (minimum 1 year relevant experience) or Bachelor’s Degree (minimum 3 years relevant experience) in one of the following fields:
