Job Description
Secondary Education for Girls Advancement (SEGA) is looking for a compassionate Caretaker to support students with physical disabilities, including those in wheelchairs. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, hygiene, and medical needs while providing emotional and academic support. This position is based in Morogoro and is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for vulnerable girls.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist students in the morning before class and after class.
- Bath students before and after class.
- Assist with toileting (helping with bowel movements).
- Perform catheterization as required.
- Help students with washing their clothes.
- Assist students in making their beds daily.
- Assist children in dressing and putting on diapers.
- Support students during self-study time, e.g., reading storybooks.
- Offer health and mental counseling.
- Guide students through their daily exercises.
- Assist with any other need that may arise and that may be assigned by the supervisor.
