Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team.
As a business development manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, drive growth and expanding the client base of the firm.
Actively generate leads, prospect potential clients, and schedule meetings to explore business opportunities.
Identify and pursue sales opportunities across various markets, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Participate in the preparation of bidding proposals and tender documents to secure new business contracts.
Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, understanding their needs and expectations through both virtual and in-person interactions.
Manage a portfolio of existing clients, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Collaborate with internal teams to support product enhancement and development initiatives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client communications and activities in the sales CRM system.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
5 years’ experience in business development or sales roles.
Experience in the Power & Electrical Industry (generators, electrical equipment’s, etc.)
Track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and industry professionals.
Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong internal relationships.
