Job Title: Broker Specialist and Retail Team Leader

Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Broker Specialist and Retail Team Leader to strengthen our distribution and sales capabilities. This dual-role position combines strong relationship management with team leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing broker relationships, driving retail insurance sales, and leading a high-performing retail team to exceed business targets.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Broker Specialist Duties:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance brokers and intermediaries.
Provide training, support, and regular product updates to brokers.
Monitor broker performance and ensure consistent growth in business volume.
Negotiate and facilitate broker agreements in line with company standards.
Identify new broker opportunities and onboarding strategies.
Retail Team Leadership Duties:
Lead, coach, and motivate the retail sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets.
Develop and implement retail sales strategies aligned with company goals.
Monitor team performance and conduct regular performance reviews.
Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service delivery and timely issue resolution.
Generate and analyze retail sales reports for management decision-making.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience working with brokers and intermediaries.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth understanding of the insurance industry in Uganda.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
