Job Description
The successful candidate will oversee restaurant operations, including sales performance, customer service, food quality, hygiene, staff management, and financial controls. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with food safety standards, training and supervising staff, managing costs, handling customer feedback, conducting regular audits, maintaining branch cleanliness, and driving a positive and productive work environment. The manager will also ensure proper cash handling, monitor performance reports, conduct store audits, implement corrective actions, and provide leadership for continuous improvement in service delivery and operational excellence.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead branch operations to achieve sales targets and operational excellence
Ensure adherence to restaurant policies, SOPs, hygiene, and food safety standards
Supervise staff performance, scheduling, and training
Conduct daily store audits and enforce quality standards
Monitor cash handling and financial reconciliation processes
Address and resolve customer concerns promptly
Review and analyze financial statements and operational reports
Oversee food tasting and quality checks
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across the branch
Coordinate branch meetings and staff development initiatives
Conduct performance reviews for branch teams
Supervise dining area operations and food/beverage service
Respond to customer feedback and improve service delivery
Ensure accurate documentation and proper packaging of take-away orders
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Academic Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Food & Beverage Service or related field from a recognized institution
Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience in operations or food & beverage industry
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication skills (English & Swahili)
Ability to read and analyze P&L statements
Strong leadership, training, and people development skills
Excellent customer service and problem-solving ability
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and POS systems
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
Strong integrity, work ethics, and professionalism
Results-oriented, proactive, and self-driven
Ability to coordinate teams and manage performance
Flexible, adaptable, and committed to workplace excellence
