Job Description

The Branch Manager will lead the Kroonstad branch with a strategic focus on enhancing profitability, customer engagement, employee development, and compliance. The role demands a strong background in retail or agricultural business management and requires hands-on experience in inventory control, sales performance, staff supervision, and adherence to legal and health standards. The successful candidate will instill a culture aligned with Hinterland’s values while fostering branch growth and operational excellence.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all branch operations

  • Drive top-line growth through targeted sales and marketing strategies

  • Manage product margins and optimize profitability

  • Execute events to boost customer interaction and loyalty

  • Monitor and control inventory levels, trends, and write-offs

  • Implement effective merchandising strategies

  • Oversee employee development, daily tasks, and performance

  • Foster a positive and aligned branch culture

  • Enforce employee relations protocols and manage incidents with HR

  • Ensure branch-wide compliance with legal, policy, and safety standards

  • Conduct staff training on compliance procedures

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:
