Job Description
The Biomedical Technician answers functionally to the Biomedical Division of the Field Operations Department (FOD) in Italy and operationally to the Project Coordinator in-country. The role requires a teaching attitude to facilitate the professional development of local staff. Key tasks include corrective and preventive maintenance of medical equipment, staff training, warehouse management of spare parts and consumables, and supporting supply order management. The technician will handle a variety of equipment, including laboratory, diagnostic imaging, surgical, intensive care, and patient monitoring devices.

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of all biomedical equipment.
Train and support local staff on the proper use of biomedical equipment.
Conduct market research for the procurement of equipment, spare parts, and consumables.
Manage warehouse inventory related to biomedical equipment.
Collaborate with the Field Operations Department for supply orders.
Participate in clinical activities alongside local staff for on-the-job training.
Ensure equipment matches clinical protocols and the professional level of local teams.
Follow organizational guidelines and operational protocols provided during training.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Proven experience as a biomedical technician in a hospital setting.
Strong electronic and technical knowledge.
Excellent organizational and management skills.
Good command of Microsoft Office.
Ability to teach and support the professional growth of local staff.
Availability to work abroad for 6 months, including a paid leave period at the end of the mission.
