Job Description
The Billing Representative plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of the billing and collections process. This includes monitoring assigned accounts, communicating with clients regarding outstanding payments, resolving billing disputes, and coordinating with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Support, and Billing Disputes.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, the ability to manage sensitive client interactions professionally, and a commitment to achieving a high collection rate while maintaining strong workplace relationships.
This position requires excellent attention to detail, persistence in follow-ups, and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

Monitor accounts to identify and manage outstanding debts.
Review account histories and previous billing data for accuracy.
Contact clients via phone and email to follow up on overdue payments and upcoming dues.
Investigate and identify the root cause of non-payment or delays.
Resolve billing discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams for issue resolution.
Report regularly on collection performance and accounts receivable status.
Maintain accurate records of communications, commitments, and payment updates.
Establish and nurture strong client relationships by clearly communicating billing policies, payment terms, and dispute procedures.
Develop SMART action plans for delinquent accounts and escalate critical cases as necessary.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Billing Disputes teams to ensure smooth collections processes.
Aim to achieve and sustain a minimum 95% collection rate quarterly.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Experience
Open to candidates of all experience levels; practical ability and professionalism are valued over formal qualifications.
Experience in billing, collections, customer service, or accounts receivable is an added advantage.
No specific degree required — strong performance and communication skills are key.
