Responsibilities
Greeting Customers:
Welcome guests as they enter the coffee shop or café.
Provide friendly and prompt service, making them feel valued and comfortable.
Menu Assistance:
Present drink menus to customers.
Answer any questions regarding ingredients, flavors, and brewing methods.
Order Taking:
Efficiently take customer orders, paying attention to specific preferences (e.g., coffee blend, dairy options, sugar ratios).
Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, and mochas.
Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment.
Ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Food Service:
Serve prepared food items such as cookies, pastries, and muffins alongside beverages.
Package food and beverages for sale.
Payment Processing:
Receive and process payments (both cash and credit cards).
Maintaining Cleanliness:
Keep the bar area, workstations, and seating areas clean and organized.
Sanitize equipment, tools, and utensils regularly.
Stock Management:
Maintain an adequate stock of clean mugs, plates, and other necessary supplies.
Check brewing equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to health and safety regulations.
Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items.
