Associate Professors job at Victoria University
Job Description
Assistant lecturers at Victoria University are academic staff members who support the teaching and learning activities of the university. They are usually enrolled in a doctoral programme and have completed a master's degree or equivalent qualification. Assistant lecturers are expected to assist senior lecturers or professors with course design, delivery, assessment and evaluation. They may also conduct tutorials, labs, workshops or seminars for undergraduate or postgraduate students. Assistant lecturers are part of the academic community and contribute to research, scholarship and service within their discipline and the university.
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars
Developing and marking assessments, exams, and assignments
Providing feedback and guidance to students Supervising student projects and research activities
Participating in curriculum development and review
Collaborating with other academic staff and external stakeholders
Engaging in professional development and scholarly activities
Assistant lecturers are expected to uphold the academic standards and values of Victoria University and to contribute to its mission of excellence in education, research, and engagement.
Qualifications and Competencies
Applicants should be proficient in the fields of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Sciences,Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry Pharmacognosy.
You must currently be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda as a pharmacist.
A PhD and relevant teaching experience are required for Senior Lecturers.
