About the Organisation
Kampala International University (KIU) is a private, not-for-profit institution based in Uganda. It was established in 2001 and assumed chattered status in 2009.
In pursuit of the dream to raise the next generation of problem solvers for the East African region and indeed the whole of Africa, the University operates a multi-campus system which consists of two campuses in Uganda (The Main campus in Kampala and the Western Campus in Ishaka-Bushenyi); one other university in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, while a third one is being developed in Nairobi Kenya. Job Description
To supervise and mentor students in their academic projects, fieldwork and internships.
Duties and Responsibilities
To teach courses in special needs education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, using appropriate methods and materials.
To supervise and mentor students in their academic projects, fieldwork and internships.
To conduct and publish research in the area of special needs education, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice.
To participate in curriculum development, review and evaluation, ensuring that the courses are relevant and up-to-date.
To engage in community outreach and service, collaborating with stakeholders and partners in the field of special needs education.
To perform any other duties assigned by the head of department or the university management.
Qualifications and Competencies
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a Master's Degree.
Must have an established academic and research profile.
Demonstrate experience and capacity to deliver on the expectations of the University.
Must be able to work and fit in the environment of a fast-growing University.
Delivery of research-based projects.
