The Assistant Business Manager supports the Business Manager and the executive team by handling financial records, coordinating budgets, managing contracts, and ensuring smooth business operations within the record label. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of multitasking and managing various business functions in a fast-paced music industry environment

Financial Management:
Assist in preparing and managing the label’s budgets and financial forecasts.
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense tracking.
Help with financial reporting and analysis, providing insights to the Business Manager and executives.
Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation and financial audits.
Contract and Royalty Management:
Assist in the preparation, review, and management of artist contracts and agreements.
Track and process royalty payments to artists, producers, and other stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and maintain organized records of all contracts and agreements.
Administrative Support:
Schedule and coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements for the business team.
Manage correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail, ensuring timely responses and proper follow-up.
Maintain and organize business documents, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date.
Operational Duties:
Support the Business Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth business processes.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., marketing, A&R, distribution) to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Help with the planning and execution of label events, promotional activities, and artist tours.
Project Management:
Assist in managing special projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Track project progress, identify potential issues, and report on status to the Business Manager.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in a business management or administrative role, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and accounting practices.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and financial software.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with contract management and royalty accounting.
Familiarity with music industry operations and terminology.
Experience using industry-specific software (e.g., royalty tracking systems, project management tools).

High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Passion for music and the entertainment industry.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position, with occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or attend events.
