Job Description
The Assistant Audit Manager will support the firm in leading audit engagements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, ISA, and relevant legislation. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising audit teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring deadlines are met. The role also involves reviewing audit work, providing technical guidance, and maintaining high professional and ethical standards. Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and supervise multiple external audit engagements.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, ISA, and relevant legislation.
Review audit files and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Liaise with clients to ensure clear communication and effective delivery of services.
Monitor audit progress and ensure deadlines are met.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to audit staff.
Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in audit processes.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Relevant Accounting/Auditing qualification (e.g., CA(SA) or equivalent).
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in external auditing, with supervisory or assistant manager-level exposure.
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and auditing standards.
Proficiency in audit software and MS Office.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving abilities.
