  • Policy Advocacy and Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about agricultural policies, regulations, and industry standards, and provide input to policymakers on behalf of farmers to address their needs and concerns.   • Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in agriculture, agronomy, animal science, agricultural economics, or a related field is typically required for entry-level Agricultural Officer positions.   • Knowledge of Agriculture: Strong knowledge of agricultural principles, practices, and technologies related to crop production, livestock management, soil science, agronomy, and agricultural economics is essential for Agricultural Officers.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using agricultural tools, equipment, and technologies such as GPS mapping, precision agriculture systems, livestock management software, and agricultural modeling software is often required.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to effectively interact with farmers, agricultural stakeholders, government officials, and the public. The ability to communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner is important.
