Feminature Uganda is an eco-feminist women-led organisation situated in the Arua with a mandate to improve the living conditions of women and youth by supporting activities and programs that foster their social and economic well-being for the elimination of poverty among the communities we work with. Job Description
The Advocacy & Communications Officer is responsible for developing and implementing effective advocacy and communication strategies to promote the vision, mission and values of Feminature Uganda.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Advocacy & Communications Officer is responsible for developing and implementing effective advocacy and communication strategies to promote the vision, mission and values of Feminature Uganda.
The officer will work closely with the program team, partners and stakeholders to identify key advocacy issues, develop policy briefs, position papers and other communication materials, and engage with relevant media outlets and platforms.
The officer will also support the monitoring and evaluation of the advocacy and communication activities and their impact on the target audiences and policy makers.

Qualifications and Competencies
Skills & Qualifications
At least two (2) years proven work experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator or similar role
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business administration or business management is advantageous.
Solid knowledge of office procedures
Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
Comfortable handling confidential information.
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks with a problem-solving attitude.
Good organization, time management and scheduling skills
Basic bookkeeping experience, especially in accounts payable/receivable
Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with few errors
Strong communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
