The Insurance Training College (ITC) of Uganda is a public tertiary institution serving as the training and membership arm of Uganda's Insurance sector. It was established in 1964 and is recognized under the Insurance (Amendment Act 2011, which came into force in 2011 as the Insurance Institute of Uganda (IIU), and by the Insurance Act 2017 which then transformed the Institute into the Insurance Training College (ITC). Purpose of the Job:
Oversee the day to-day running of the Deputy Principal's office and the Units there under.

Assist the Deputy Principal to perform the administrative tasks required to run the department.
Facilitate the department's units to carry out their work smoothly by providing administrative and logistical support whenever it is needed.
Provide assistance with procurement processes that are internal to the department and to ensure they are carried out according to the established policy and guidelines of the College relating to procurement.
Prepare payment requisitions for the department/units as guided by the Deputy Principal or Unit Heads.
Supervise administrative activities of the department in line with laid down procedures and policies of the College.
Receive communication from other Departments and units for the Deputy Principal to respond to and give feedback accordingly. Requisition for equipment, furniture and other supplies for the Department and ensure their safe keeping.
Organize and coordinate meetings with external stakeholders, especially partners.
Organize and coordinate departmental meetings when conducted.
Participate in making the work plan and budget for the Department.
Perform any other official duties assigned by the Deputy Principal.

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Administration or Information Technology from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning. A Second-Class Upper degree shall be of added advantage.
Must have at least four (4) years of working experience in a busy organization preferably a training institution in a similar role.
Required competencies:
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Access and Power point).
Experience in record keeping & minute taking.
Excellent interpersonal skills especially when dealing with internal & external stakeholders.
Be a person of high integrity with an excellent work ethic.
Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be available to work after normal working hours.
