The Uganda Episcopal Conference (UEC), the legal body of Catholic Bishops of Uganda with funding from the US Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC) is implementing the Comprehensive HIV Epidemic Control project through FBO/PNFP health facilities in the seven CDC supported regions within Uganda. The project supports PNFP facilities in Masaka-Wakiso, Kampala, Mubende, Soroti, Hoima, West Nile and Rwenzori regions. UEC would like to fill the following positions with quality and highly motivated candidates able to work with a dynamic project team at the Uganda Catholic Secretariat.

Manage the calendars of managers and staff, arrange appointments and travel plans, and coordinate events and conferences.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, partners, and employees, through email, phone, or in person.
Create, edit, and proofread documents, such as reports, memos, letters, invoices, and presentations, using word processing, spreadsheet, or presentation software.
Maintain and update databases, filing systems, and inventory lists, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, courier services, and office supplies, and assist with budgeting and expense tracking.
Provide general administrative support to managers and staff, such as taking notes, conducting research, preparing agendas, and resolving issues.

Communication:
An administrative assistant should be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
Problem-solving:
An administrative assistant should be able to identify and resolve issues, or escalate them when necessary, using critical thinking and creativity.
Technology:
An administrative assistant should be proficient in using various software applications, such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and email clients, as well as office equipment, such as printers, scanners, and phones.
Interpersonal: An administrative assistant should be able to work well with others, demonstrating respect, courtesy, and collaboration.
