About the Organisation

Together Si Can was born on 8 June 1983 from the idea of a small and courageous group of founding members who ventured into this enterprise without any economic starting point, but animated by strong ideals and great hopes.

The Cooperative was born from the historical tradition of the ACLI and owes its name "Together Si Can" to the motto ACLI 1982 - 1983. The cultural references of Insieme Si Can are those of the masters of Christian social doctrine: the Blessed Giuseppe Toniolo, the politician and trade unionist Giuseppe Corazzin, Cardinal Pietro Pavan, and the French philosophers Jacques Maritain and Emmanuel Mounier. The thinking of these intellectuals is the foundation of a cooperative that enhances the principles of mutuality and solidarity, which operates on a non-profit basis and which is configured as a community enterprise offering responses to the needs of the territories and promoting, through work, their economic and social growth.

Job Description

ISP in Africa is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced administrator to run the administration and finance department of the organization. The ideal candidate is proactive and dynamic, must be committed to serve the most vulnerable categories and to build a more just society. He/She shall be highly organized and precise, have strong work ethics and share the vision and the values of the organization

Duties and Responsibilities

Preparing and monitoring the project budget and financial reports
Ensuring compliance with ISP and donor policies and procedures
Supervising and supporting the administrative staff and the logistics team
Liaising with ISP headquarters, local partners and authorities on financial and administrative matters
Contributing to the planning, implementation and evaluation of project activities

Qualifications and Competencies

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
At least three years of relevant experience in financial and administrative management of development projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software and online platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English and Italian, knowledge of local languages is an asset
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work in a multicultural environment
