Job Description
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for handling invoicing, receivables, payables, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and audit support. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate should have experience in the automotive industry and be proficient in accounting software. Reporting to the finance team, the assistant will ensure the timely recording and reporting of transactions and support overall financial health and compliance of the company.

How to Apply
Generate and dispatch invoices to customers on time
Follow up on outstanding debts for timely payments
Maintain accurate and reconciled debtors' accounts
Post transactions into accounting software for final reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Assist in accounts payable management and reconciliation
Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support financial audits with required documentation
Assist with tax compliance and liaise with relevant authorities
Conduct banking duties and reconcile bank statements
Process payments to suppliers and respond to accounting queries
Prepare and file statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, NHIF, NSSF)
Manage petty cash and review cash requests for accuracy
Compile and submit departmental reports as required
Organize and file financial documents systematically
Provide daily banking reports for cash selling centers
Reconcile M-Pesa tills and ensure accuracy of cashbook balances
Participate in monthly stock takes and reconciliation
Perform any other accounting-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least CPA Part 2 or ACCA equivalent
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Proficiency in accounting software
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the automotive industry is an added advantage
