Job Description
The successful candidate will be tasked with handling day-to-day accounting functions, including managing the general ledger, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and supporting budgeting and reporting processes. The Accountant will also be involved in tax compliance and liaising with auditors and external bodies. The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and a solid understanding of Nigerian financial and tax regulations.

How to Apply
Maintain and update general ledger and financial records
Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Monitor cash flow and assist in cash flow forecasting
Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax laws (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT)
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies
Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems
Assist the Finance Manager and contribute to process improvement initiatives
B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or finance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ZohoBooks)
Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax and financial regulations
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
