Job Description
A multi-disciplinary firm is seeking an Accountant/Finance Officer to manage financial accountability, statutory filings, and project-based accounting.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Process and record all financial transactions ensuring proper authorization and documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
- Manage month-end processes including reconciliations, fixed asset updates, and bank account reconciliations.
- Implement project-based accounting to track profitability, expenses, and revenue recognition for projects.
- Prepare weekly and monthly status reports on receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Support the Finance Manager in preparing management accounts and supporting schedules for financial statements.
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, WHT, NSSF, Income Tax, URSB).
- Manage accounts receivable/payable, cash flow, and financial risks.
- Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Integrated Management System requirements.
