Job Description
The Account Manager plays a crucial role in supporting Ecobank’s remittance business by maintaining strong relationships with key partners. The position involves identifying opportunities for growth, enhancing partner satisfaction, and ensuring seamless collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders. The individual will analyze performance metrics, develop joint business plans, and stay informed about industry trends to maintain Ecobank’s competitive edge in financial services.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and maintain relationships with remittance and fintech partners, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue and strengthen partnerships with existing clients.
Develop and execute joint business plans and strategies with partners.
Provide ongoing support to partners, addressing needs and resolving issues promptly.
Monitor and analyze partner performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Operations) to enhance partner experience.
Contribute to partner retention strategies and ensure a seamless service experience.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in International Business or Strategy is preferred.
Professional certifications in Sales, Business Development, or Fintech are a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management within the remittance, fintech, or financial services industry.
Strong background in relationship management and customer service.
Experience in international markets and cross-border financial services.
Skills and Personal Attributes
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage partners at all levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize effectively.
Analytical mindset to assess partner performance and identify growth opportunities.
Knowledge of digital platforms, fintech solutions, and financial services innovation.
Fluency in English (French proficiency is an added advantage).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
